Received my HCP Today!

I received my HCP today, 16 days from time of finger printing. I know some has got theirs quicker, but I thought mine came pretty fast. Just letting everyone know who might be wandering how long it might take.

I was really shocked how fast I got mine recently. About 3 weeks after application submited, and maybe 10 days after fingerprints were done. (yes I procrastinated)

Congrats! I think mine took 16 days also a few months back, so good to see that they are still on the ball. Get yourself a good holster if you don't have one already.

I wish mine had gotten to me that quickly... Though I don't really remember it taking that long. Hopefully things will still be moving along swiftly when it's time to renew.

Got mine in 2009 and it took just about the full 3 months to receive. Glad to hear that the state has caught up with demand.

Dang, I am going to have to move back to Tennessee. here in Nebraska it takes 4-6 weeks on average. It took me almost 5 weeks a year ago. Congrats on the permit. No go out into the world of wierdo people and be safe.

It's true, I got out and went into Walgreens today... left my gun in the car (hidden) and realized halfway to the toothpaste that I was naked. It gets to be a weird feeling to NOT have one. Also pay attention to how your situational awareness increases. I can't carry at work, but since I've started carrying my awareness at work has jumped ten-fold.
