I've got a regular BCM lower on the way for my next build but seen that they sell blemished lowers for like a hundred bucks off and thought about picking one up for my another build or just as a spare...anybody had any experience with them? I talked to a few other guys and they said that they couldn't find the blems when they got them...my rifles don't get abuses but they get used so I'm thinking the blems may be the route to go for my training rifle...any thoughts or pics of some of them?

I probably wouldnt' hesitate. Blemishes add character and AR's are fighting rifles. If you want something pretty get something with a wood stock and have it engraved, etc.

My yankee hill upper came with the charging handle and dust cover pre-installed. Whoever they had install the charging handle slipped with the punch and dinged around the outside of the hole for the roll pin to go into something fierce. It is on the underside so at least it isn't noticeable. With your lower at least you know there would be a blemish on it, and get compensated for it from the start....but hey, you are probably going to end up putting some dings on it yourself eventually, right?
