Nashvillian Call For Help...

Calling all my Nashvillian Brethren...

Tomorrow is my wife and I's 10 year anniversary. We haven't had the funds for much more than going out for dinner, so I didn't plan anything to surprise her. I know it is very last minute, however, does anyone own, run, or work for a place that does limos, or do you know someone who does? I'm not looking for freebies, deep discounts, handouts, or anything like that, but if you know of any specials, sales, or deals that might make using the credit card a little less soul-sucking, it would be hugely appreciated and I would be forever in your debt.

Nothing fancy is required, just a ride from West Nashville (Charlotte & Whitebridge area) to Kobes, down by Centennial Park/Elliston Place, and a ride back to the house. Dinner wouldn't be more than an hour, 1 1/2 at the max.

I would really like to surprise the Love of my Life this year, to thank her for sticking with me through thick and thin. She doesn't wear jewelry, thinks flowers are pretty and nice but feels they are a waste of money. She never wants anything for herself, she prefers to spend the money on the girls instead. All this makes it very hard to ever find anything to get her, unless we have extra funds to splurge. On top of this, we found out about Mid-September that she is pregnant again, definitely not planned but we're excited nonetheless.

If anyone can help me find something, or knows someone who can, like I said I'd be forever in their debt. Email is quickest usually broomheadz AT live DOT com, I'll receive it on my phone within a few minutes.

A huge thank you to all of your that read this.

(David/Mods, delete this if necessary, I didn't know if it was OK or where to post it exactly.)

Here's an idea, when my wife were dating, in college, we didn't have much money, we would go to Little Ceasers, get an order of breadsticks, go to a park and sit, talk, and enjoy the breadsticks. Fastforward till today, we make decent money, but it all goes into our family, kids education, etc, which leaves little for anything else like going out to a high priced dinner. I need to do this for her sometime, we've been married 15 years. I'm NOT saying do this exact thing, but is there something that ya'll used to do when dating or engaged that you could recreate? Stuff like this, which they remember, can go a long way to show her how special she is to you and you might not have to spend a lot of money.

Normally, I would plan something romantic, but since Kobes is her favorite restaurant, what Preggo Momma wants, Preggo Momma gets. If Preggo Momma ain't happy, no one is happy.

For our second Valentines Day after marriage, I told her that it was her choice where she wanted to eat. She chose Fat Mo's. Unbeknownst to her, I had grabbed a couple tall candles, candle holders, and a lighter from the house and squirreled them away in my leather jacket. After we'd ordered and got settled in her, I smiled and reached into my jacket. I pulled out the candle holders, then the candles, placing them in the holders, and then lit them. She started to laugh and cry at the same time. Everyone else in the place started clapping.

well if you dont find anything else i have a bright yellow 4 door ford f350 i will pick you up and take you there for free

LMAO!! Thanks for the offer!

Well even if nobody can get you hooked up with a ride have a good anniversary. Make sure the wife is happy you know a happy wife is a happy fantasy life.

Fixed that for you.

Just be happy with a "content for now" wife. You know, like the rest of us;)

I wonder if these places are still kinda cheap.

I know when I heard about this it kinda ticked me off and I wanted to support the small limo companies. They used to go 20-25 dollar rates.

When I heard about this if I got to Nashville before it took effect I was going to take my wife out with that company for an evening but I am afraid it is to late.

As for my wife, for our anniversaries, she wants to go to Cracker Barrel because on our Honey Moon, that was the best restaurant around for several days and the people go to know us and the bed and breakfast we were staying at was owned by the manger of the same.

Prego! Well that changes everything! You better get a loan!

You should do the candle thing again.
