You should be proud of her, that's a big first step. Now just make sure she continues onward and always keeps her gun with her.

Thanks everybody. The reason I said finally applied for permit was that we took the class 4-16-11 and it was getting close to expiring. She lost her birth certificate and we procrastinated a while in getting another one. but its all done now. What a relief.

I will have her carrying as much as possible, but she cant at work. She goes shopping a lot and she will be carrying her handgun then. because I'm to heavy to carry around. lol

That's great!! My advice is let her pick out a gun and no matter what it is (within reason) get it for her. I bought my wife a gun to carry and she hated it...she picked one out and despite my feelings toward it (caliber), she carried it. Then she picked out another one. I like it so we take turns carrying it. ha ha ha!

I wish I could talk my fiance in to going and getting hers. Since shes 105lbs soaking wet, very pretty, and in no way could really protect herself. Just would give me a lot of peace of mind knowing if she did that she could at least defend herself. But unfortunately she grew up in a home that didn't have guns and guns scare her. She doesn't mind shooting mine or being around me when I shoot, but the idea of carrying scares her. Guess practice practice practice.

Keep trying, and I hope you talk her into it. If you already have her shooting yours, seems like your getting pretty close. At least she's not scared to shoot.

Wish I could get my wife to apply. I doubt if that will ever happen. I FINALLY was able to talk her into carrying a little pink bottle of Sabre Red Pepper Spray on her keychain the other day. I doubt if she will ever move up to a gun though. :)

That's cool. I thought mine was going this month but she decided that her truck need new paint instead. Next couple of months hopefully.
