Got a 10/22 Finally!

My son and I went out to shoot at ASP this afternoon but only had about an hour to shoot as they were conducting a class... so with time to kill we cruised over to Guns for America to look around. (Hard to find that place!)

Upon leaving there, we stopped at Cash America Pawn just for kicks, but on their shelves they had two Ruger 10/22's! The prices were a little high and dude checked out the new prices at Academy and seen that I was right... so I was able to get a much better price than he had listed. Looking at this, it's very obvious that this gun has never been fired! Not a scratch on the stock, not a bit of residue inside. What made the deal even better was the original lock, scope mount and screws, and the gun case that I wasn't aware of was included in the price. ;)

Luckily too, it's the carbine length that I was wanting for my Thompson kit conversion. Now just gotta save a little bit for that. I'm sure that I'll enjoy this little rifle as-is until that arrives.

Everyone has to own a 10/22. They are by far the most popular 22 rifle in the country. It is their ability to be modified and changed to suit the tastes of the owner. I have had more than I can count over the years. Now I only have one but it is a culmination of all those years of finding out what I like.
