citadel 1911 mag issue

Recommended Posts

Bought a new Citadel 1911 but am having trouble feeding from full mags. Looks like the bullet is being push down so it hits the wall of the fun instead of up and into the chamber. Is there any way to fix this or is it a matter of new mags. It seems to go away when the mags are about half empty. Thank you!

yes pull your mag spring out and stretch it about 2" more for the time being then order you some Wilson combat mags you can also polish your feed ramp that also helps

Yeah, it's 8 round with 8 rounds in it. Doing better after some polishing on the injector port. Might take a round file to it to help smooth and shape it.

You mean feed ramp?

If so I would tread carefully. It is very easy to take too much off and cause even more issues.

Yeah. That's what I meant. Know a guy was a master gunsmith before he got tired of the ATF. He said he'll take care of it.
