My first handgun (CZ 75 P-07)

I handled a CZ handgun back in October of last year while at dyno day event here in Middle Tennessee that one of the guys there had. Was very impressed with it, and later went shooting out at Owl Hollow with some friends last January. We all met at the Franklin Gun Shop, and there was a free CZ magazine inside on the rack and I picked it up. It had a review on the CZ 75 P-07 Duty .40 After reading the review, I was very impressed with what I read, and having already handled a CZ a few months prior, I was sold on this gun. I handled the same model but in 9mm in February at Guns and Leather, and I loved the finish, loved how it fit my hand like a glove, it's very lightweight, midsize, and so I decided on it for sure.

Yesterday I was finally able to pick it up after placing my order on August 30. Apparently this model is so popular, they can't keep enough in stock, so I had to wait for mine to be manufactured, then get fit with a fiber optic front sight, and then shipped to the Outpost Armory in Christiana. It was a long wait, a slightly irritating one, but in the end it was worth it. Another factor in my decision was price, at only $490 shipped straight from CZ, I got a steal, any gun of similarity by another manufacturer would run more than that, and the quality and craftsmanship is remarkable. I have yet to go test fire it at the range, but I may go Sunday or possibly monday after I get out of class. I love the physical appearance, it's attractive, rugged, yet aggressive and cool looking, and finally I wanted something not many other people have. Everyone has a glock, a 1911, a Kimber, a Sig, so I just like to do something different than what the masses do, just to be different. So there you have it as to why I chose this gun. everyone I talk to who has either fired a CZ or owned one, says I made a great choice and that I won't be disappointed.

Ok enough talk, time for some gun porn!!!

Excellent purchase. My CZ 75 P-06 is definitely the best "duty pistol" that I have shot. I'll have to try the P-07 when I get a chance. After getting the P-06 the only other semi-auto pistol I want is a 75 in 9mm.

liking it so far. haven't gotten to the range just yet. I think Saturday I'll head to the range though for some practice. I have a few friends that want to go. Probably take the camera and get a few shots of how well it groups.

I need to take a few pics of it with in my crossbreed supertuck iwb holster. i carried up to NMRA Drag Races in Bowling Green on Saturday, and i've got my holster adjusted to where it's pretty comfy when I'm driving. i need raise the front adjustment and lower the back, to bring it in a bit closer to my back, the butt of the gun kinda sticks out a tad, but it's hard to notice unless you're looking for it. no one at NMRA seemed to notice, because no one said a thing to me.

I will have a range report as soon as I get to the range.

if I end up going to the range Saturday, you're welcome to come and test it out to see if you like it.

i read the reviews on the 9mm and there was a lot of issues with it jamming and misfiring, thats why I went with the .40, it didn't have any issues, and the review rocked in every aspect.
