Hasn't it been that way for awhile? I actually get worse allergies when I go to my parents house in Atlanta. As soon as I step out of the car my nose feels "heavier" then I sneeze.

I know Chattanooga used to be one of the worst for Pollution which obviously effects breathing. I don't think Knoxville is that bad.

Whole ET area is ragweed nirvana, if you react to that.

I never was, until I woke up one Labor Day weekend out in the country with my eyes swelled shut. Happened all of a sudden around 35. Really bad for about 15 years, had to double pill up from Labor Day to first frost, now much less so, strange how the bod can change that way.

Probably because of different types of allergens located in Atlanta that you react to more aggressively, or due to living up here your body is more used to these allergens.

I am allergic to almost everything under the sun, when I lived at Murfreesboro when going to college - middle TN allergies didn't bother me nearly as bad as east TN. Most of the year I went without taking any sort of pills (just for a month in the spring usually). I was up in Nashville all the time too, the allergens out there don't sit on you like in the valley where it gets trapped.
