Into the 1911 madness

Took a Saturday afternoon drive to Winchester’s famous Hero Gear after Joe had enticed me earlier in the week in the Vendor Section with a push on 1911’s. Dan made the drive well worth it. I got to fondle some nice pistols and He just happened to have the exact S&W Model 1911 I was looking for with Novak sights as my first entry into the 1911 madness. Not only did Hero Gear meet the lowest price I could find in three states, but I also get $100 back from S&W. Thanks guys, I think…….

Nice choice to start your love affair with the offspring of Mr. Browning. Warning, they are contagious. I used to be of the mindset that if it was not black, polymer and Austrian, it was not worth holstering. My Kimber CDP II has made me re-think my philosophy a bit.

Nice pistol. I have one just like it, the S&W 1911Sc. Though I like every single gun I have ever purchased there is something special about the 1911's
