Women's holster for EMP

Recommended Posts

Looking for a woman's holster for a Springfield 1911 EMP. somrthimg like the drop and offset from blade tech would work but they do not list anything that small. and if you call them they do not know what a EMP is. it has to be for a woman with hips. if not the gun digs into the ribs.

If they list any 3" 1911, it will fit.

but oh the sticker shock! I forgot about them, got so use to using kydex only one other company list a 3 inch 1911 and is not for women at all. Robert says I will be happy with Krammer, but I do not like the $$$$.

What do you mean by, "not for women at all". Do certain manufacture's make holster's specifically for women and men?........What type of holster are you looking for? Paddle, IWB, OWB, ankle, SOB, purse, day planner, etc....?

I guess I should have checked the link before posting.....But still, is there really a difference between a holster that is IWB and a holster that is listed for women?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the link that JDD posted explains it well. or you could try a IWB holster with a thick pair of winter socks balled up between your hip and the front sight of the gun and you will get the idea.

What's the biggest concern you have? Would something like the M.T.A.C. with various depth adjustments and a nice leather backing work?

with my shape, inside the waist is uncomfortable. I'm needing something out side that angles the gun out away from me so my gun is not digging into my ribs and low enough so it does not touch my arm pits. I have been wearing out side holters designed like that for me for about 4 years. It's the hour glass problem as well as having a short frame. I want it for concealment as well as competition. Not trying to be a smarty pants. My first year of shooting was difficult due to those problems. Then I found some one who could make them for me but now he is not available.

Wanda have Robert put you on the rack and make you taller...........LOL. My Tucker holster I use for my Taurus PT111 works for the EMP as I tried the EMP in it the first time I handled the EMP. Tucker is on the pricey side.

but it may fit the EMP but does not solve the problem. your holster rides high and close to the body like most man's holsters do. so the gun will be in my ribs and or in my arm pit. been there done that. no thanks.

This place advertises ladies holster's, but they seem to contradict everything you are looking for in a holster. All of their ladies holster's ride high. But they do have the "Bosom Buddy" option that I have never see before for women. I'd be willing to bet that most any mildly skilled person could make one.

Thank you all for the info. did not know there where so many makers of womans holsters. I do like the Krammer the best because it seems to be very thing I am looking for, but will do some checking into the others.
