OK hardcore Paul supporters, how are you going to support this one? Huh?

Lay out your case, I'm listening.

What is to support or condemn for that matter? From my understanding of the article, his comments were made in jest.

[TD]"Paul spokesmen Jesse Benton later said the remark was a joke, and said Kucinich is too ideologically different from Paul to be a candidate for a Cabinet spot."

Translation: After the ;) storm started, this became a "joke."

Here is the way I look at it. If you don't like Ron Paul, then don't vote for him. I am not a Ronulan who thinks Paul is the second coming (yes, there are those out there). I do however, think he is much better on many issues than the other candidates currently running. Therefore, unless something changes, I will more than likely vote for him.

I just think this whole issue with Kucinich is being blown way out of proportion by those who have animosity towards Paul (primarily his foreign policy views). I could be wrong, which happens from time to time, but I feel this is a mountain being made out of a molehill.

I agree completely. I don't understand why we are busy attacking the different candidates instead of working together to make sure ANYBODY but Obama gets elected.

To put a positive spin on my thoughts about Paul: I think *he'd* be fantastic as a cabinet member. Put him in charge of of the Treasury and let him clean house. Put him in charge of cleaning up regulations or rooting out corruption in DC.

He has lots of great ideas and integrity. Just a little too "almost unhinged" for me in his demeanor.

Flame away but for some reason I don't despise Dennis like I do some of the other flaming libs. Maybe he is genuine in his beliefs without malice. I don't know. Just how I feel about him. I can't find much to agree with him on, but I don't want to shoot my tv when he is on talking about something or another.

For this jest he will get crap [Paul] but all of them are dirty in one way or another. If this is Paul's stink issue...so be it.

Paul and Kucinich 2012! :D

Yah, I don't think there's anything I agree with Kucinich on, but at least he appears to be a man of principle - he tells you what he believes and works for those goals without the typical politician-speak. That's incredibly rare in DC...

Joke or not, Kucinich and Paul have come down on the same side of many issues. If you don't like Paul's take on the issues then having Kucinich agree with some of them might have "ad hominem" value to make it look worse. If you basically agree with most of Paul's positions, then what does it matter if Kucinich happens to agree with some of them?
