$475 for gun

$490 for gun + holster

i would say the average price of .40 S&W is about $15 a box...

@ 24 boxes....thats $360!!!

hope that gets you close to what you are wanting??

i would say separate the ammo....cut a good deal on it. maybe 2 for $27....3 for $40??

just my thoughts???

good luck with sale my friend...

(p.s.) I need some ammo!!!! ha ha ha ha

That seems to be a fair price with nite sights. G 22's arent as easy to sell as the 23 or 27 . But i wouldnt take it to the gun shop and take a beating on price with a trade. Just hang in there on a sale and try to get back as much of your money back as you can. Good Luck

I would recommend you sell half your ammo and buy a cheap ria to make sure you like the platform before you dive in head first. Also don't forget to join up as a benefactor so you can sell in the classifieds section.

Some places sell RIA's as cheap as $389. The "upgraded" tactical models as low as $429!!!

I second this idea....buy cheap, get used to the platform then upgrade internals and have fun? just my 2 cents....

Having had 3 RIAs and 7 or 8 other 1911s I also second the idea of getting an RIA. The RIA works and what more could you want in a combat pistol? What I have found is that 1911s, although really cool and fun to work on, are heavy, unless you get one with an alloy frame - but then is it a "real" 1911 if it weighs less than the 38oz all steel version? My most recent idea of the perfect "1911":
