I think there is an RK Gun Show this weekend in Murfreesboro, but the Gun Show USA webpage says its in October.

Does anyone know for sure?

I don't know for sure either. I read somewhere, on here maybe, some time back, that it had

been moved to October. RKs dates aren't always reliable . Some more digging will be in order

to nail it down before I make another trip to a cancelled show. Speaking from experience

on more than one occasion.

Yeah, I got duped this past weekend. The RKShows.com site said there was one in M'boro Sept. 17 & 18. There was something else there this past weekend and a billboard nearby said Hendersonville (which matches what the Gun Shows USA site said).

Today, the RK Shows site was updated to say Sept. 24 & 25 is the M'boro show, but Gun Shows USA says RK Shows is in Atlanta and Lexington.

I don't know who to trust now and will likely stay home.

I think I heard october as well. I drive by the murfreesboro show site every day. If I see the signs out friday, I will post and let you know. They generally put yard signs out a day in advance.

Can anyone tell me if they charge for parking? And about how big are the shows in Boro usually? Basically is it worth going?

Being new to Nashville went to the show at the fairgounds, paid to park and paid to get the family in and was sadly dissapointed with the show and the small amount of the vendors as compared to the large shows in Vegas with free parking and lower entry fee!

I'll be going, there isn't a charge for parking, it's quite a large show and worth hitting, and $10 gets you in both days ($9 with a coupon off their website)

I think you'll be disappointed if you compare the size of an RK show in lil' ol' Murfreesboro, TN to the convention-sized shows I've heard about in Las Vegas. For around here, it's usually a decent sized show.

Oh yeah, didn't see the las vegas location, not gonna compare to there but around here...probably the biggest show in middle tn.

Thats fine. We live here now and if that is the largest then thats the one we need to go to. But hope its larger than the Nashville show!

Thanks for the inuput to all.

Side note. Vegas has some decent size shows but Reno NV has "THE BIG SHOW". Thats the name of it and it truly is a BIG SHOW! Took us 2 full days just to make it thru both sections.

I have to agree with QuietDan. I wish there was a non-dorky way to ID folks from TGO while at the show or anywhere for that matter. It'd be nice to put faces with names.

Perhaps some spiffy TGO friendship bracelets (just joking).

Anyone thought of T-Shirts?.. That's super easy to do.

Heck! TGO should get a table! At the cost of less than two 1y memberships, the price of a table would be covered. I think I actually first heard about TGO from one of the sellers at the last gun show up in Nashville.

Imagine if TGO got into EVERY gun show in TN (run it with members, who cares lol). I think its brilliant if I say so myself.

TGO fanny packs. I'm leaning toward pink.

Ha, ha, ha.

It could be as simple as printing out a copy of the excellent TGO Logo from the website and pin it to your collar. Yeah, a little lame.

If I were going to make logo'd items for TGO, I'd start with a good thread-count embroidered version of the TGO logo on a black ovalled rectangle with a silver border. Members could put it on a hat or sew it to their motorcycle jacket. No bigger than 1 inch by 3 inches, or so.

And, I'd make a rather small cloisonne' metal pin of the TGO logo. Suitable for sticking in your hat, or in the lapel of your suit jacket or coat.

I imagine the cost would have to be kept under control, and perhaps if a modest cost could be included in the benefactor fee or sold separately. Of course, these are just thoughts, probably already thought of and I just haven't seen the thread, and I don't have the financial burden of the forum.

Whoever came up with the original logo did a real good job, in my opinion.
