Serious hipoint question

I have a .45TS carbine that has functioned flawlessly. It need not be ashamed to take it's rightfull place in my mancave along with weapons costing 3 and 4 times the price. With it's lifetime warranty and 1st class customer service it puts most mfg. to shame.

A guy at work has got a 9mm,.40,and a .45 and he said they are awesome for the price. No problems at all and he has shot them a lot too. Some of the people that don't like'em think that you have to pay at least $800 for a good gun.

Gun snobs suck donkey bawls. Multiple issue out of my Kimber. None out of my hi point. It's about reliability and accuracy. My hi point is both. If you can find another, do so.

I've said this before...I don't own a HP C-9, still think that they look strange and never really considered buying one. Yet when I see a simple blow back design that work's so well, a company that stands behind its product and the pistol only cost a bit over a hundred dollars. Well, I understand why so many people like them, I'll buy one of the carbine's sometime soon just to play with. As to making fun of HP pistol's, nope, not gonna do it, might have done so when I was younger, but after seeing so many big name gun makers put out so much crap not any more.

define drop gun

A really good way to go to prison for a long time or lose everything you own in a civil suit. FWIW it's one of those thing's best not said in jest as it alway's come's back to roost.

I would get it for $100.

I've not had ANY problems at all with my Hi Point .45 & I've got about 1000 rounds through it so far. I shot 50 rds through a Glock 19 & had 3 FTEs hahaha.

Bottom line is, dont trust what the gun snobs say. Get a Hi Point & try it for yourself. Its big & ugly but goes boom every time.

seriously what is a drop gun? A gun you toss in the river after shooting someone, or a gun you plant on someone you shot?

I have heard the term forever but never knew what it was.

Yeah you did...Ghetto style. :biglol:

The two young guys next to us really got a kick out watching Mike throwing them casings straight up in the air. But he wouldn't turn his cap around and droop his britches to make it a more authentic demo.

I did it both ways, righty and lefty, or casings up or down. they were laughing pretty hard either either way.

Aside from a mag issue at first that pistol fired the heck out of what we put through it. did not matter if it was upside ,downside or my pants on the ground.

One that you plant after shooting. I was being a gun snob, which is about as bad as being a beer snob. I'm not proud of it but man, those things don't have a lot of curb appeal. I will say that years ago I had a buddy that owned one and he had no complaints, other than the rest of us making fun of him.

Yeah, but seems those Wolf rounds are really marginal in it, due to their significantly shorter OAL.

Ah, that's part of the charm of owning one ... fragile egos need not apply. :biglol:

if you ever get a drop gun you better never mention it.

Yeah, the fact that you've already mentioned it, probably means you'll never get to successfully use it.

Mike, it's just not ghetto, unless your holding your pants up while shooting it sideways. Sorry man! It's a fail! :biglol:

I always enjoyed beating the speed gun guys on the range with my stock Glock, but it would be more fun to beat them with a $100 Hi Point. Maybe I'll pick one up now... I might have a hard time finding a serpa holster for it though... whadaya think?

Increase the shame factor with your $100 HiPoint + fanny pack holster

I don't expect to see a HiPoint in the safe next to a Colt or Wilson Combat pistol. I'd never pay more for a holster than the gun it carries.
