My First Bear

I finally killed my first bear. I killed him with my Parker Bow. That's right with a Bow. He weighed about 230 lbs field dressed, is 5 ft. from tip of nose to start of tail. His head measures 14 inches from tip of nose to back of head and there is 7 inches between his ears. He is in the wheel barrow at the processor because nobody wanted to put him on the ground and then have to pick him back up...LOL was just to heavy. Hope you all enjoy the pics.

man, just shows how little I know about hunting. I had no idea that black bears had a season. I didn't think you were allowed to kill them in this area.

thats awesome, I too have had the pleasure of taking a back bear and boy was it a great time. Enjoy the moment. I took mine with a gun and have bowhunted for them but have never gotten another one in range.
