Mossberg 395 KB magazine issue

Upon returning from deployment I finally got my fist firearm. It is a Mossberg 395KB bolt-action 12 GA shotgun. The only problem I have found so far is that The Spring in the magazine is broken. It looks like a piece of spring steel just bent 4 times. If anyone knows anything about this firearm in general, how to fix the spring, or where to get a new one it would be great info to have. I need to get this working so I can hunt for the firt time in my 28 years. I really want to bag a turkey this season. Thanks in advance.Steven armed_geek

Bummer. I took another look. Sold out on the spring. Guess you could just get the whole mag assembly. Also depending on what the original looks like....maybe a generic could be fitted to work. I've done that on some other firearms that parts aren't abundant.

That was the exact spring I need. I see you are a gunsmith, would you think spring steel bent to about the same would work?

Sure. Getting it bent just right will be the fun part . Depending on what you need, a generic spring from another comparable model/make may also work. Its a mag spring, not a super critical part in the grand scheme of things.

Would any of the other models listed that do have magazines available not work?

however I really like the 5 round one on that other site. Now i just wonder if it will work with mine.
