Hey guys, I am new to hunting. I did not grow up around it, and just recently even go into firearms. I would really enjoy going turkey hunting, but don't have a clue what to do. Wanted to just throw this out there to see if there were any programs or people out there that show new hunters the ropes.

I am in Spring Hill btw.

Thanks

Sir; the best thing you could do (which led to my HATRED of Turkeys) is attend a meeting of your local chapter of the NWTF (National Wild Turkey Federation). They have members that are more than willing to take you under their wing, and teach you how to turkey hunt. I know there is a Middle Tennessee chapter in the Nashville/Franklin area. I was a member here, but now I HATE TURKEYS SO BAD.....I QUIT! Good luck to you sir!

Buy a turkey call at Walmart, as soon as they put them on the shelf in early March. Take it out to the front of the store and start scratching on it. If your lucky a turkey hunter will come along and adopt you. :)

Honestly, ask around at work, at the gun range, at the gun shop, ect. If you have some turkey hunting land, I'd be happy to travel down and teach you what little I know. I wish I had huge tracks of private land with hundreds of birds, but that's not the case for most of us.

I do have some videos that I have watch enough to pass along. PM me your address if you'd like to watch them.
