Tango down or magpul afg?

I've always been a big fan of tango down fore and battle grips, but never used a magpul angled foregrip. Can some of you AR savvy folks help a brochaco out with the magpul info? Thank ya!

I went from a really nice VFG to a Magpul AFG and I love it. I feel like I have better control over the end of my M4, and it makes shooting a lot more comfortable and natural. Plus for about $30 bucks, I felt like I got good value.

I agree with piercedan. I went from using a KA VFG and now I use a MAGPUL AFG. It feels more natural than an old pickle stick and I have great control over any of my rifles I keep them on. AR-15 with 10.5" barrel and 14.5" barrel, SCAR-H with 16" barrel, but had to get the PWS rail extension for the SCAR-H. Give it a try and compare the 2 and shoot the 2, that's the only way to tell.

If your a shooter who uses a vfg as a reference point and don't normally run a full grip on it, then you'll probably like the Magpul AFG.

I've been trying to get used to the AFG that I put on my BCM Mid-Length build and frankly just can't. I'll be going back to a Tango Down "stubby" on it, same as I have on my short-barrel build.

I have the stubby and the AFG. I like both alot. However the afg seems to make aiming easier for me because the thumb is pointing forward like when I'm gripping a semi-auto pistol. I hope that makes sense.

What color? I have one in FDE I won't be using anymore.

I don't care for the AFG, it feels like I am trying to hold onto a 55 gal. barrel and I do have very large hands. I think I am going to try a stubby or go to a Gear Sector hand stop.

I have both and like the vertical better.

As a matter of fact I had both on the AR at one point. The AFG was ahead of the VFG. Some people liked using the AFG and some liked the VFG. I think it is all about preference and for me it is the VFG.

I was very skeptical of the AFG because I thought it was the flavor of the month. But I got one as a gift and tried it out, now I love it. I was running a VFG but will probably not go back. I feel like I have more control with my thumb more on top pointing forward. The first few times it felt weird but it is a training thing and eventually feels more natural, to me anyway.

I've used the AFG's and they are pretty good. I actually prefer a hand stop instead of an actual grip. Ergo makes one and Gear Sector makes a good one...real simple and works great.
