I don't care what they say about you, you are a smart man using big words like 'catharsis'. I had to look it up, but that is fits me exactly.

I am not glued to TV, but I have it on, listening to it. Today is not lost on me.

I told my wife as much as I don't want to go to NY, I would like to visit ground Zero some day. Maybe I will take a trip there just for that and leave. I don't want to spend the night in that city though.

no worries Erik, today will affect lots of people many different ways. I am sure lots of folks like you will avoid it, others will watch it like it was happening again.

For anyone who lost loved ones in that attack or since then in the "war on terror" I wish you peace and comfort. Get through today the best way you can.

My children were too small too even be aware what was happening. They are teenagers now, I want them to see it.

I watched it as it happened. I still have a VERY clear memory. Still feels like it happened yesterday.

I saw it all in real time. Working at home. I don't always get up that early or have the TV on, but did that day. After the first hit went down to mom's basement apt and got her to switch it on.

Daughter was in college and not inclined to take my advice seriously. I knocked on her door and she was on the computer. Advised that she should watch what is happening because it is very historic and will change everything. I don't think she took my advice but "got the news" from friends online. Her friends were smarter than dad.

Later that day she was saying we should nuke the SOB's. Wasn't a bad idea. The same thought had occurred to me.
