Want to upgrade my Mini-14

I know this post will provoke some to tell me that I shouldn't waste my time & money upgrading my Mini, but I want to anyway :D I am shopping for an AR, but in the mean time I am very interested in the Aimpoint CompM3 red dot site, but try as I may, I have not been able to find a mount that would fit my Mini. Has anyone had any experience with this? I do not consider my Mini to be a poor man's substitute to the AR as once I do finally buy one, I have every intention of keeping my Mini as I just like the gun so I'm willing to put some money into it. Suggestions?

Don't ever apologize for loving your Mini. I have had 3 of them over the years and all shot better than I did. Currently I have a Rock River AR, but I hear another Mini calling me. I want another old style, not the new fangled counter weighted barrel contraption. The one on this sale forum is awful tempting!!!!
