Colt Top Rib

Here is another in progress pic of my Colt 1911 in 38 Super that Xxxx Xxxxxxx is doing for me.

This is one of Colt's "Enhanced" models from the mid - 90s. These 1911s came with a rib on the top of the slide like a Gold Cup, but unlike the Gold Cup did not have any serrations. That blank rib always looked sort of naked to me.

Thanks Mark, she's almost done! I truely enjoy reworking the old ponyies,they bring a smile to everyone's face!

Very nice. The .38 Super and 1911 platform are just a natural combination. Should be a sweet shooter.

It is.

I put a little over 1000 rounds through it shooting a couple of IDPA matches and some other train ups. Agree that its a great round for the 1911..., makes me wonder why it took me so long to get one.
