One thing to consider is if you take cash and then can't find what you want on the secondary market you will have to pay tax plus background check, etc. Say you were trying to trade two items of equal $750 value. If you take cash and have to buy through a retail outlet you will then pay $75 tax plus $10 background, plus round trip gas. You can quickly approach $100 out of pocket that a straight trade could have avoided.

The battle isn't over when all the bills are paid. Still comes down to the gun store or the furniture store.

Or the shoe store, window treatments or whatever it takes to keep momma happy. I think that most guys on here have enough sense to not have lots of consumer debt or at the very least to pay their bills before buying guns.

I have a VERY understanding wife. She understands that before I spend money on my toys, the bills get paid, the groceries get bought, gas in the car, ect.

Wow, sounds like you are being responsible. Go figure.

I have a little consumer debt for gun stuff. It's one of those bills that HAS to be paid :screwy:. I'm not married. So, even thought I share a household with my girlfriend, we kinda have our own money. Same battles, different rules.
