Mauser project

I made this last year for my FIL and posted some very amateur photos of it shortly after. A fellow TGO member MarkInNashville had asked me if he could do a photo shoot of sorts on any firearms I have. I thought this Mauser was a good candidate. Its only lacking the checkering that I am too busy to do myself. One day I'll get it done or send it off. Its a 25-06 AI, shilen barrel, CZ BRNO action, cheap walnut stock I picked up years ago back in Trinidad CO (but I think it has some charm regardless of price). I think Mark did a great job! Thanks Mark, I had fun BS'ing with you. We will do it again.

I must suck at the internet because I can't see all the images all the time. Seems to change on me. Oh well. They were cool regardless if they can be seen or not  !

Okay, normally, I despise sporterized warhorses. This is NOT one of those times. This is also NOT one of the typical bubba bo bob gunschmitt hack jobs that have ruined countless war relics. This is classy and very well done.

Very nice Troll, very nice. Simple (until you really pay attention;))and elegant.

Thanks guys. The idea was to butter up to my FIL for future and present hunting rights. He is not too flashy of a guy, so the gun reflects his style, somewhat.

That gun looks pretty uptown to me. :)

Sophisticated without the flare was the idea :) . I hope my FIL never becomes a member here on TGO or reads that comment.
