So I found a thread on ar15.com last night on making a tac sling and decided to give it a try. I bought an 8 ft utility strap at Ace Hardware and disassembled an old laptop bag shoulder strap we had at work for parts. It still needs a little tweaking, but overall I'm quite happy with how it turned out and functions.

I don't know what you spent on material for that, but you might look @ the 1/2/3 point tacticool sling that Sniper Gear sells. I bought one @ the Feb. Bob Pope show for the AK and love it.

Thanks, I actually used it a bit at the last TGO east tribe shoot and it did fine. The only problem I had was the rear clip wasn't hooked on the sling swivel and it popped off once.
