Just trying to do what I hope someone would do for me that's all. I have a feeling I'll take a doe the first weekend of Archery so I'm not that worried. And if not I'll just have to wait for more.

I have a front quarter and 5-10 lbs of stew meat left, Bristol area. Taken late last season.

I dropped off some roasts and blade steaks for him this afternoon. Great guy would do it again in a heartbeat.

I just cooked a couple of the blade steaks with some rub and bacon on them and they were great!

I soaked them in milk for a hour when i got home and they turned out perfect.

Good deal! Next time, try soaking them in "red wine, vinegarette" salad dressing. AWESOME stuff!

I'm glad you liked the meat. That was from a young doe and she was very tasty indeed! Glad I could help you out it was great to meet you and I look forward to the chili cook off!

When we do that I would really like for folks to bring the recipe to the event (printed out or written on a sheet of paper) and I will bring the camera and take photo's of the Chili for the Cook Book! I have been thinking about that and I if we can get some printed off we maybe able to do it for a fundraiser of some sorts or at least have a good cookbook for ourselves. Thoughts?

Excellent! I am going out of town from 3-15 Oct. I can take an early flight back and try to make an event if it's on the 15th or the 22nd could work as well. Just let me know

perhaps we can invite a game warden or two to the event. Just saying we could probably have them judge it. Would be great face time with them.
