Spread wheat on about 3 acre plot next to creek this morning, sure hope I can shoot a few doves over it.Man it is dry and dusty here. Neighbor has cut corn silage and saw a couple of fields of corn already shelled. Not seeing many doves yet.How does it look in your part of the State. I'm in Weakley county.

Crap in Franklin Co.

No TWRA fields anywhere close, don't know of any private fields either...... Bark Camp Barrens is looking like my best bet, but it's gonna be a fight to get a decent spot :)

I have been scouting fields around Nashville for a couple weeks now, and my only concern is that they may have come in a little early.

Hopefully TWRA will do some last minute lease fields for us. I read tonight that they try to wait and see which fields are cut at the right time before choosing which to lease.

There used to be some good pay fields around Franklin Co. You might could call the local warden and ask if he knows about any paid hunts. They usually only run around 25 bucks.

Two of the best hunts I have ever been on were down there. One was on a private hunt out near the interstate off Hwy 50. and the other was when AEDC worked their fields, back about 15 years ago.

Is Forks of the River open to hunting this year? It no longer shows up Green on the google map like it used to, and the fields havent been posted on TWRA yet...
