SSAR-15 Installed

I have my SSAR-15 now and will test it over the next few days.

First impressions is it is ugly. It is light weight. It is very easy to install.

You can not use any back plates with sling loops or adapters.

You can not use the enhanced Magpul trigger guards or any others that are not straight.

2 Stage triggers work but not well. A stock AR trigger seems to work the best.

You can use a commercial buffer tube but I recommend the Mil- Spec tubes. The mil- spec allows it to run better plus will lock in place as it was intended to do. So with the mil spec tube you get full function of this slide stock.

My question for those who want to know:

What test would you like me to do with this SSAR-15 Slide Fire Stock?

Images and more thoughts will come soon.

See if it will run with a .22LR upper. If it's reliable with rimfire, I'm probably going to be out $300.

I don't have a 22 upper but I do have a 22 conversion. Ill let you know if that works.

The one I played with ran great. But it's not worth $300 to me.

I think they are way out of line price-wise for what you get. But if you're the only game in town you can charge whatever you want.

Id not do much of the 458 SOCOM but it would be nice to know it works if I ever need it. ( you know for those Super Zombies)

I will test my 5.7 upper and 9mm

I figure you can get through a few hundred bucks before your arm falls off :-)

Tagged. I know 9mm will work, but I hear .22 LR doesn't have enough recoil to cycle in automatic. We'll see.

Bumpity bump......22 tested yet??

Curious as well. I saw a video on their website of a .22 upper firing with the kit but I'm not sold on that alone. Neat toy.

got a friend that a dealer i ask what i could buy them for 275.00 so if some of you want to do a group buy let me know.i have one its the neatest thing i have ever used need to buy at least 12 to get this price he lives in ms so there would be no tax .if someone wants t shoot mine bring some ammo mine is for a left handed shooter

Thats a cool offer Dave!

I did try mine with a 22LR conversion kit and it was a no go. It almost wants to go but maybe a dedicated upper on a light gun would work.

if it weren't so ugly I'd get one. Yea I'm a knot-head.

Agreed, they look awful IMO. They need some cosmetic re-engineering. I'm sure they are limited somewhat to retain proper function. But something is just unappealing about the looks

Yep, they are quite ugly. But for me, it is not so much the looks as it is the price. $370 for a plastic stock is crazy. I think having one would be cool, but I will definitely wait until the price comes down.

I am surpised by this guys results. He says M&P 15 .22, timney trigger and a little grease on the slide part. Im wondering if a tactical solutions dedicated upper on a light trigger lower would have the same results?
