These photos were taken during Petty Officer Jon Tumilson funeral. His dog, Hawkeye, never left the casket during the funeral. Thanks for your service, and thanks to those who are currently serving.

I saw these earlier today...as soon as I got home I loved on my dogs. A dog's love for their owner(s) is right next to God's love for us...I think it's the closest thing to Godliness that we will experience on this Earth.

I'll lay down beside her and mourn when my ol' gal passes and I expect nothing less from her. That's what true best friends do.

God bless him for sure. That poor dog.:( It's funny how more capable than humans ever will be at the art of unconditional love.

So sad.

This is why I will always be a dog person, I've never known a dog not to love their owner (if the owner was a good person, not one of the monsters that beats/starves/chains up their dog). Cats are nice, but they don't compare to a good dog.
