Zombie Match - Music City Tactical Shooters

Could we do that? I would shoot .45 on 1, 2, and 3 and 9mm on 4 and 5. I think this is opening up a can of worms. Who is MD for this? Is there an organizing body for zombie matches?

Nope on the request. I am the MD. You can shoot multiple entries by being a MCTS member.

The Dogs?

Are they also Zombies or just there eating the rotten flesh that has fallen off the living dead?

In other words (Not that I would be gaming these stages) - - - Do they require shots to the head also?

Posted (edited)
Yes they require shots also. They are 1/2 size targets.

Headshots also?

Nevermind, saw the other replies.

Must Bring More Ammo & Mags.......

I actually figured more people would have issues with the moving Zombies than the dogs......LOL.

The reason for my comment about bringing more ammo & mags!

So are zombies governed by IDPA rules or "run & gun" rules? Translation: can I bring my race rig, drop mags on the ground, and not have to be reminded before every stage what the difference is between tactical sequence and tactical priority?

Please look at the COF. The rules governed the match are none. Scoring will be like this: 0, 5, 10. Every time a NT is hit will count against you. If your race rig is what you are going to use against the Zombies, more power to you. Leaving ammo on the ground, I do not care.

Aaron,

Some people take a little longer time to understand the concept. One day you will get it and we don't have to keep reminding you....LOL.

I did read the COF but one requires concealment and one mandates low cover so I wasn't sure.

As for understanding the sequence-priority thing, maybe I'm a slow learner. Good thing I'm a reasonably quick shooter... ;-)

Check your PM. I haven't had the opportunity to change the concealment portion on stage 1 (but recognized in an earlier posting in the thread) but the stage 2 low cover behind the coffin will still be in play. I want the fog to be in your eyes.

Hope to see you there!

We do. Normally these calibers are seen during our BUG/Intro to competition shooting matches. Please come out and see what we are doing fits what you are trying to achieve. Eye and ear protection is required.

My son and I will be there for the zombie match with our 9s but i normally carry my ppk in 32 and want to see how well i can do with it.

Michael

How about 3 shots per head for sub 9mm, IE poodle popper calibers. LOL

Humm...can anything less potent than 9MM have any chance of stopping a zombie even with three head shots?

I mean; you do want to keep this as "real life" as possible, right? :puke:

I really can't imagine someone having enough magazines to shoot 3 times at the targets with low capacity mags.

Robert,You coming out to kill some Zombies?

It's a tough decision...I have two extracurricular passions in my life; firearms and cars.

Next Saturday is a scheduled "Cars and Coffee" event in Knoxville and then driving the "Tail of the Dragon" (for anyone who doesn't know what that is just Google the phrase - suffice it to say that it's an 11 mill, 318 curve piece of road in the mountains near the TN/NC border that is literally known all over the world).

On the other hand, one can never have enough practice at killing zombies since we never know when they'll attack.

So...I'm leaning toward killing some Zombies since I haven't had a chance to be out this year but I'm still thinking. :puke:
