How suitable are trail cameras for . . . neighborhood watch or external home security? I'd sure like to see images along that line as well . . .

Unless you are wanting to cover an area without electricity, you would be better served with a less expensive IR video surveillance camera.

Thanks Whiskey!!

I would have to agree. Trail cams are more for remote places or farther from electricity. They now make ones that use cell phone service and transmit the pictures to your computer.

Buddy of mine lives in Palmyra and used his Trail Camera to catch some guys who stole his 4 Wheeler. They never saw it coming.....of course this was a model without a flash that was pointing up his driveway so when you entered the property it catches the plate. Leaving with a trailer also gets picked up ;-)

I caught a guy with mine stealing gas from my boat. Law got him, but the guy felt stupid after that, because he told the deputy that his car isn't running now, that that gas messed it up. Ya think? lol

Feeding time for momma and baby. My ladder stand is about 10 foot to the left of these deer. Pictures like this sure make it hard to deer hunt!

Camera is the Cheap on sale $70 Moultrie Camera with a flash (no IR). As far as the pics go, I use photobucket to upload my pics. It goes from the SD card, into iPhoto (Mac), onto photobucket and then here. I dont do anything special.
