New Marlin XT-22 tube fed bolt action .22lR

I got one of these today. Fiddled with the trigger pull adjustment screw and didn't get it as low as I had hoped, but out of the box the trigger has a pretty nice break for an inexpensive .22. These new Marlins have something called the Pro-Fire trigger. The Pro-Fire is very similar to the Savage Accu-trigger. I plan on using this XT-22 as an airgun scoped Colibra rifle.

Looks like they just replaced the 981T with this. Well, I guess they added the new trigger deal so its a bit different but it looks pretty much identical to my 981T:

I'm just glad they didnt get rid of the tube fed bolt gun all together. Gotta love being able to use ANY .22 ammo, especially the quiet stuff. That and shooting shorts is fun. It'll hold over 20 of the little things! CCI CB Longs are my favorite though. They seem to be a bit more accurate than the CB Shorts. My guess is it has something to do with the shorts not engaging the rifling at the right spot like a long or lr.

Great purchase! If its anything like mine you'll LOVE it.
