How much ammo do you carry with you?

The correct terminology is a "hollow, portable, tube-shaped ammunition storage and allocation device." Of course, if it's black, one must add "tactical" to the beginning.

Do you mean allocation device, ammunition storage, tube-shaped, portable, hollow, tactical?

I feel the love of this board.

I think the official board style should be that they are called "clips." Much as anyone's handgun should be called a "piece." This is in solidarity with our inner-city brothers."

Yo, Bro, thats Bro's, not Brothers-- Brothers is so 70's. And, yo, Bro, Mah Peeps can suffice as a plural substitute fo Bro's.

Where do y'all live to feel the need to be carrying that much ammo? I can see it now ' Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, the defendant was carrying 4 full magazines of high power ammunition - OVER 30 rds ladies and gentlemen, he/she was looking for trouble and took out his/her intentions on my client. He/she was armed looking for a fire fight and in the process shot my client.' Juries are made up of generally well intentioned sheeple but in the hands of a good parasite can be swayed to see Mother Theresa as Jack the Ripper.

I don't carry as much as some, but I think we all live in the real world which can be a bad place.

First of all if it is a true self-defense situation you shouldn't end up in court, but let's say you do. In your mock address to the jury I would just have my lawyer substitute "prepared" where you say "looking"

I usually carry 1 spare mag, mainly in case of the unlikely event that I have a malfunction. But I'm not gonna deride anyone their decision to carry how ever many rounds/spare mags they wish. Maybe to appease your hypothetical jury we should only carry 1 round.

I don't carry four extra magazines, I only carry one (mainly for correcting a feedway malfunction). I carry one mag when I don't expect trouble. If I expected trouble, I would bring a rifle, or better yet, not even go outside.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want anyone to think I am deriding them because they want to carry extra ammo or anything else they feel they might need. But I know how lawyers are and anything that can be used to twist and confuse a jury they'll use.

I don't think its a problem unless your all decked up like an urban commando ninja with several mags, trauma plate brief case and your stabbing flashlight

It is your job to articulate to a jury why you do what you do--make the lawyer look like the jackass that he is.

Now THAT would be amusing to watch.

"Well, I carry 15mags because you never know when al Qaeda will stage an attack on the Hammer's Dept Store in Clinton....."

I don't know anybody who carries 15 mags...but in Memphis, some juries would understand.
