This is exactly what I thought when first hearing about the riots and looting. Now even in America riot police usually carry nonlethal weapons. But the fact that everyday patrolman don't carry guns could have lead to the escalation I'm the first place. I mean how much stronger would thugs feel if face with a cop who only carried a stick.

And on a side note they know store owners don't have guns. How Many dead looters, at the hands of armed owners, would it take for the riots to subside.

Yup, we don't have 5 day riots here for good reason. There is a gun behind every blade of grass so to speak and yet we pretty much have freedom. Image that, guns keep us both Free and Safe.

I just wonder, what would be the reaction here if an armed store owner shot 2 or 3 rioters that were trying to break in his store? I can just hear the media wailing "they weren't going to hurt anyone. They were just looting." I know my reaction would be why only 2 or 3. Did he run out of ammo?

No, he had to stop to reload. You see, the shop owner was going duck hunting the next day so he configured his self defense shot gun for only 3 shells as he is a law abiding citizen. You know because for migrating birds you can only have 3 shells in the gun. Lucky for him the thugs did not know this and they ran away before he could reload.

They need to take a few more nightsticks against some heads over there. There has to be some kind of order , you can't just let these fools run wild ruining other lives.

It happens regularly in LA and a couple of other towns. We are about due for another one though.
