The Liberals talking heads are all going to EXPLODE....now thats good TV

I keep saying that this is on the people; not the government. Quit looking for someone to blame and decide that you are going to part of the solution and not part of the problem. We have the ability to turn our economy around anytime we choose.

That was great. I feel that way almost everyday. Sadly, most people don't want to hear that. All some people want to talk about are gays, birth certificates and socialist. The power is in the hands of the people, yet we freely give it away to our so called "representatives".

I agree with you, but that doesn't excuse their behavior.

I have been complaining about both sides for years. Both Sides do what they can to keep people divided among the party lines and very little gets done. Lincoln said it, a house divided against it's self can not stand. They keep this country divided and it is getting us no where.

Does anyone really believe there are enough American Citizens smart and/or brave enough to kick the greedy corrupt 545 out. Too many times, I hear people I think are smarter than that say "there is nothing we can do". I for one do not intend to give up. If any one of them are on their second term, they will not get my vote. If I cannot find reason to vote for their opponent, I will not vote for that person either. The system is broken, "WE THE PEOPLE" are the ones who are going to have to fix it. Those in power have no incentive to do so.

Divided? how can they be divided when they both are one and the same.

Smaller government is needed, less spending is needed. China said this country needs to live within its means and not spend so much. Our Military needs to be cut back( bring the troops home) and keep out of foreign affairs. it is not our job to police the world.

There are so many ways the Gov't could save money if they only would stop and listen. It's a burden we the people should not have to pay and our children and their children have to pay. The system is broken, it's time for a real Change. Not obama either, he's part of the problem. Changing parties will not change the way things work.

I thought that's what we did (at least in part) last election. We got the butts who forced ObamaCare, against the will of the people, out of control of the House. Next election put Republicans in control of the Senate - only way to get rid of Harry Reid. Get rid of the current president next election thus ridding the White House of all the Marxist embracing advisers, elect someone with some experience in governing SOMETHING (and I don't mean being in Congress for 1 to 2 years) and we should start to see some improvement. Also, we need to get rid of the left bias in the network news media.

how? by voting? honestly it doesn't matter whether people vote Republican or Democrat, this country is screwed as far as the economy goes. We're so far upside down in debt, and the Washington continues to waste money, we'll never dig out. It doesn't matter who you elect anymore, the problem has become so compounded by problems, it doesn't matter who you vote in, it's not going to change.

you can keep telling yourself that and fooling yourself, but it's the truth, and no one in Washington really cares either, if they did, things wouldn't be as bad as they are.

fwiw, i hope i'm alive to eat my words if I'm wrong.

Personally I don't give a happy c--p which party they belong to. Neither party represents the people of this country. They represent only themselves. It is not until they all see their butts falling out of office in a wholesale manner that they will start to pay attention to, again, "WE THE PEOPLE". It was not one party that got this country in this shape. Both are equally to blame. Both need to be throughly cleared out so that we can at least make an attempt to correct our problems and try to make a new start. Those in office have no reason to make the necessary changes. They profit to much from the status quo.

In the current environment, I do not believe both parties are equally bad. Why did the Dems get busted in the last election? It wasn't the Republicans forcing legislation (Like Obamacare) down our throats. Blaming both parties is a Democratic ploy to make voters think that they are really like everyone else and it's OK to vote for them. If the current President gets re-elected and the Democratic party reclaims total control of Congress, we can hang up our spurs - the party will be over.

Another thought: If both parties are so bad/corrupt, who keeps electing/re-electing them. Or another way: to speak so negatively of our elected officials is really an indictment of ourselves. We're the ones who keep putting them in office. As voters, maybe WE need to clean up OUR act.

OK. I will admit, I have made some very stupid vote choices in the past. I cannot start to think how many times I also voted "against" someone in stead of for a candidate. And you can bet your a-- "WE THE PEOPLE" have put them back into office. Now however, things are different. Read worse than ever. Now someone would have to keep their head so far up a place where the sun doesn't shine not to see the duplicity perpetrated by both parties. Can anyone really look at the debt ceiling crises and not see that each party was more concerned with "winning" rather than do what was really needed for the health of our country? This, my friends, Is just the tip of the proverbial Iceberg.

Our system is broken. And yes, "WE THE PEOPLE" have let it get that way. I can only speak for myself, but I admit that I did not want to believe our elected officials would abandon our country to such extent. I believed and trusted in an underlying integrity that they would not put them and or their "party" above it. I suspect that most felt the same way and I also am afraid that many still do. Now however, the evidence no longer supports those beliefs. I am sorry my friends but the system is broken. Badly broken. It is going to take major repairs to put it right. I still want to believe "WE" can do it. I still want to believe we have the time. The ones in charge now are not the ones who I trust to do it. They have lost my faith and trust.
