Wanton Waste in Tennessee

You want real wanton waste in TN? It's not poor harvesting practices on the part of the hunter. It's natural resources and land being vacuumed up by too dang many people. The reason some believe animals such as the coyote to be a problem is not because they are actually a problem, it's because they have no where else to go because the home they've had for hundreds of years is now paved with a walgreens on it. Want to reduce wanton waste, balance the animal population and have a good hunting season most every year? Reduce the people population or at least make people stop breeding more.

WOW! Not sure I would say that out loud with out a  or some other identifier of sarcasm in there. Otherwise your spouting out left, I mean way left wing type crap there! Very radical indeed. Easier to shoot and waste than stop procreating my friend. I hear Baffin island is nice. Not too crowed up there.

What do ya'll think of our "crow" season?

I'm not familiar with it. Although when I'm bored out pred hunting and the set is a flop I'll switch over to crow calls on the E-caller and man do they come it! I just do it for fun. I have never killed one though. What do you think of it?

I would give it 8 to 10 years (or less) and many middle Tennessee counties will be closed to hunting due to sub divisions and population growth. I see it coming already in Montgomery county. It's a good thing the state is killing all the hogs now, because in about 10 years, they'll be rooting up your driveway, playing in your kids sand box and chewing the tires off your cars!

You can only shoot them on certain days......

I see that. Sounds like yet another reg thats unnecessary. And then maybe it isn't, hard to say with out knowing the logic behind it. Perhaps TWRA needs to clarify their stance or justification on regs better than a, surprise hunters! Now its in stone! NANANANA. Which is how I feel they do the hunting population here in TN.

You're right to be that way. It's a dangerous path; The things I was talking about.

BUT, people really do need to think. It needs to be a public service announcement like smoking. Tobacco is a killer, and everyone needs to know the whole truth, BUT you have EVERY RIGHT to smoke if you choose. It just needs be an informed decision.

All this is one reason I am VERY pro adoption. Surprising to some whom I have discussed this with though, I am even more so AGAINST abortion (premeditated murder of a child in my book). I want to see population control through wisdom and good choices, but that's just asking too much from a stupid and lazy public. Ya'll be safe and Be well. †††

Here in Alaska we have it on the books that almost all of it has to come out with you. The Rack being the last if that is what you choose to pack out with the meat. Hunting deer up here involves your back and a Pack. Not sure why this is even an issue where you all hunt. Why on earth you can't gut skin and pack out the meat is beyond me. Never hunted anywhere in the state that a road was near ya. With that said, Why have another law that tells you what you already know. ? just my 2 cents

Just as another side Note to the Op; there are always folks that think you are crowding them. We will always be there and there will always be those that cut the loins out and sit at the fire and down the booze loving life. We add our morality to the times that dictate what morality is. There never was a correct way to do the wrong thing and that my friend remains constant. So in a Few years I will be the guy that owns a chunk of land where you used to hunt. I worked all my life to save and spend to do it. That is just the way it is.
