in my opinion we're past the point of no return. Look at the fall of the Roman Empire, and what's going on today and in the past 20 years, resembles it to a certain extent. Multi-cultural diversity, achieving the height of technological advances for their era, were two of the biggest factors in the fall of the Roman Empire. America is very quickly rising in terms of its technological abilities, but I don't believe we have peaked yet. Almost daily we hear of more and more outrageous arrests, and people going to prison for just "words that they said", or downloading a song, or associating with a militia group that the federal government considers "extremists", someone gets sued for something ridiculous by a bunch of illegal aliens and has to pay a truckload of cash over to them for violating their civil rights, yet they're not even legal to live here. America has lost it's true identity.

I won't say the "end is near", because I'm not a conspiracy theory whack job, but the United States as we know it is changing very rapidly, and I don't believe we can sustain the lifestyle we desire and have enjoyed for 200+ years at the rate in which our country is degrading, and how the morals, values, and ethics upon which this country was founded are continually eroding away. How long is anyone's guess, but if I had to take a guess as to the means, it will be either civil war or by nuclear destruction. I hope I'm not alive to see it happen, hopefully I go peacefully in my sleep before that day comes.
