You know...its gotta be the DAMN politicians...I grew up in the central valley...took my first "hunters safety course" for a Boy Scout merit badge at 13...in high school, in the student parking lot, you'd see pick up trucks with gun racks AND rifles in em...in the back window. Ok...ok... I know...this was all back in the 70's...ancient history politically...

I agree with him, tougher laws won't help, they just need to enforce the laws they already have on the books.

In response to this, Wolanyk points out that the Arizona shooter, Jared Loughner, violated multiple felonies irrespective of any tightening of gun laws in Arizona or California, and that the shooter was a crazy person unlikely to be deterred by changing open carry laws.

They, the politician, are just over reacting to the media and doing the only thing they know how to do, pass more laws.

Notice politicians have giving up their primary job of representing the people and are only their for their own political grains any more. They all collect and spend more money on their campaigns to be elected to their jobs then they will ever make in the job (legally) yet they leave the job with pertly of money. These are the people that are suppose to be trying to balance the budget right now? Horse . Oops wrong rant.

Moral of the story: Making laws more restrictive for everyone, based on one person, doesn't help. The determined find laws irrelevant.
