(Side note: Career politicians, such as he, are root cause of our present issues...)

Couldn't agree more.. So tired of seeing the tired old faces on tv, Pelosi,Reid, Frank, McCain,Hatch, Dingel, Alexander, and the list goes on, spouting off the same old tripe. We need new blood and term limits to get these people out.

Let's not hit the GOP so lightly.

Seems John Boehner is a lot of folks' hero or some such around here .. he's simply been part of the problem for 20 years. Mitch McConnell been there even longer. These folks typify the "DC Insider". Don't be fooled just because they seem to be the foes of what you perceive the greater evil to be (right now).

I still say the GOP will dilute and absorb these Tea Party critters. They simply won't be able to significantly change the party to be significantly any better over the long run. The two party system will continue to be the same subtle tyranny. They need each other, and we'll remain largely out of the loop.

Did you notice the List goes on..... Mcconnell, Boehner, Kerry, Snowe, Graham, Schumer, Durbin, list goes on.....

Why call the Tea Party folks critters seems derogatory for no particular reason. Or did you mean Hobbits...

Seems Rubio and Ryan are standing firm, over time we will see.

Two Party system is fine with me, just need new blood to mix the system up and get some things done. Perhaps the bigger problem is the entrenched Dem and Rep staffers/bureaucrats who are only interested in keeping their jobs..

I don't know who loves Boehner

so much around here. I really

doubt the GOP will absorb them.

I think the Tea Party is doing just

fine. The numbers will rise next

time, also.

Not meant to derogatory ... guess just meant as an unusual minority.

Let's see how "revolutionary" they still are after their second terms ... actually, if they're trying to change the status quo, shouldn't they all just serve one term? Two at most? Let's see how many settle into the career politician role, source of half the problems on the Hill.

I agree with you, OS. and several of them did exactly the opposite of what they promised.

It worries me. I'm rather pissed at mine, Fincher. Blackburn, too. A local radio host gave her

so much leeway with her answer about her vote she actually sounded pitiful. Character went

flying out the door. It's worrisome.

Yeah, everybody forgets all these Tea Party endorsed winners are now Republican Party members. They didn't run as Independents, but Republicans. They all took GOP campaign money. They're already beholden in the eyes of the GOP, which bought them. That's how the two parties work, always have always will.

Let's see how many leave the GOP financing and go independent for next election, hmmm? No strings? Riggghhhhttt.

I will concede you are probably right. However, is there anything wrong with trying to make a difference? While my cynicism increases on a daily basis, I don't think I would ever allow myself to get to the point of becoming a total cynic. Call it naivety or what you will, but I think it would be too depressing. Even though I may be distorting reality, I don't ever want to get to the point of saying, "F*** it, I'm screwed no matter what." I will hold out what little faith I have left until the next election.

OS. Their intent was to change the R's from within, primarily because the D's

are a lost cause, completely. If that doesn't work, it may end up as a new party.

I'll join it, too.
