New Blackhawk CQC for XD

Just wanted to let everyone know that I think my search for the perfect holster for my .45 is over for now. I purchased the Blackhawk CQC and absolutely love it. The finger lock is great and it is nice and snug. My only drawback is that it may be a little bulky for deep conceal, but I guess if that was my concern I should get an IWB.

For those looking, I suggest you give it a try. The one I have comes with the belt and paddle. Not too bad on the price at $45 but I guess you get what you pay for.

I have one of these. Bought it 3 years ago, and it's held up well. It's pretty secure, and very fast to draw from. It does take a large cover garment to conceal though. I use it in the paddle configuration, since it seems to fit more tightly to my body that way.

Make sure you practice drawing from it... there have been a few incidents of people whose finger went straight from the button into the trigger when drawing because they didn't keep their finger straight indexed along the gun, and shot themselves. It takes gross negligence to do this, as you'll find once you see how it works, but it's something to be aware of.

I have one and like it for the most part, comfortable, fast to draw from (always keeping finger off trigger as mentioned above) but yes it is harder to conceal. I wear my IWB all the time and I find when I do use the Blackhawk, I run into things, like taking a corner a little close I will smack the wall every time. Seems very secure, I think you would rip off someones pants before you got that thing out without using the finger lock.
