Greetings,

I am a Reformed Presbyterian, retired Army officer born and raised in Upper East Tennessee, that is, the part of TN past Knoxvegas. One of my great-great grandfathers from ET was a yankee cavalryman. Notwithstanding, this disgraceful mark on my heritage, I still qualify for the Sons of Confederate Veterans based on the service of more patriotic ancestors from Duck River. I belong to the Col. John S. Mosby Camp 1409 in Kingsport.

I have a variety of weapons and a Dillon Press. My favorite is any 45 acp.

In the Army I was a general factotum and dog robber, jack of all trades and master of none. Aviation Branch.

Welcome to TGO. Can't fault for the transgressions of ancestors, I have a few tales to tell in that vein myself. One is pretty funny, involving a pig, a Yankee, and a daughter... but I generally have to imbibe heavily before relating that particular piece of family legend... (it works out okay in the end, the Yankee was shot).

If you need a place to shoot, give me a holler!

I didn't want to hike for a living, retired Navy here. Fellow afficianado and deacon of the church of JMB.

Again, welcome to the forum.
