Our Family Dog passed away yesterday afternoon

Hearing this is an unpleasant reminder of the mortality of my own dogs.

My family has an Old English Bulldog and an American Bulldog and they are our friends, "other kids", companions, and protectors. We provide for their every need, but get back 10X more from them in love and happiness.

Both of ours are inside dogs and I worry constantly about them in the heat. I can only imagine your sense of loss. You have my deepest condolences.

If you know of where I may be able to find a similar breed puppy, please IM me,

Thanks. . .

Sorry for your loss brother. The warden ( my much better half ) and I have two dogs we absolutley adore and I would not want to feel what you are dealing with right now. I'm not sure where your located but the warden does volunteer work at a no-kill shelter in Sevierville called Pets without Parents that have a number of large and small breeds right now..Good Luck

Sorry to hear about your loss. Faithful animals. They make us better people.

Is there a puppy in your future? Circle of life and all that.

Thanks for the compliment about the warden, I don't wamt to make her head swell but several days a week, she gets up at 6:00 AM to go work at the shelter. On the days she isn't doing volunteer work at the shelter, she has several sights that she moniters for lost dogs. She reunited a lost Pit in North Knoxville this morning. I am very proud of the work she does and can only ask b4 you buy a dog check out the shelters In East Tn I was up ther a couple of days ago and they have one of the nicest female blue heelers I laid eyes on

My heart goes out to you. Bulldogs are different animals. I lived with a bulldog once and he cricked from old age, I'll never have another bulldog, the loss is too much. I wouldn't trade my time with the dog for anything, he made me a better a person but I con't go through that again,

That's so understandable. But, we feel the love is worth the pain.

Thanks all for your suggestions. Though Willie will never be able to be replaced, we've already started the search for another member of the family. Hopefully, Smokey Mountain Bulldogs will reply to our adoption application.

Wow what a great lady at Smokey Mountain Bulldogs. Mari Decuir received our application and really sympathized with our family's pain and has offered to provide assistance in locating a new family member. I have to say that I lost it and started crying. She was quite supportive. It looks like we might have found a puppy American Bulldog locally. If it should work out, pictures to be posted later.

Rescue people no matter what the breed are truely devoted helping find homes. Watching "from the sideline" I'm amazed at how hard they work at placing and rescuing these animals

Truly awesome to hear!! I LOVE ABs and can't believe you found a puppy so quick. When my wife got me mine, it took months to find one locally.

I hope it work out and the new family member helps to ease your pain, bro.

Well it didn't work out. Found out that Annie, my wife really wanted an old English Bulldog. Well, we found one In South Georgia. Flying to Waycross, Ga to pick up Heather. She'll be 8 weeks old then.
