I've never been able to wear flip flops. I can't stand the feel of something stuck between my toes. It's as uncomfortable as wearing a thong!

Alright, I don't really know about the thong thing but flip flops, to me, are just thongs for your feet. I suppose they have their place but they're clearly not for everyone.

I wear flip flops 90% of the year. Feet are so much better as far as feeling better and staying cooler.

Cowboy boots / combat boots in winter if I'm appearing in public. Flip flops provide poor traction, support and limited sound concealment with all that hot sweaty slappin noise. If it goes down you may end up lookin like barefoot Bruce Willis in Die Hard with the bloody feet from glass. ;)

Growing up, we didn’t have a lot of money, so in the summer the only shoes we had were cheap dollar store flip-flops or we went barefoot.

Even now, I wear my flip-flops (crocs!) 50% of the time. The other 50% is split between my work heels, sneakers, and my hunting boots. I have no doubt I can survive the ZA long enough to make to my boots and bag... even if that means I have to do it barefoot.

I'm a guilty member of the girly, flip-flop wearing crowd. No biggie...besides, with the right motivation, you'll run either way.

Was in Lowe's a couple weeks ago looking at fiberglass roofing material. Grabbed one and slid it down toward the floor ... where it landed pretty hard on top of my toes (yes, was wearing flip flops). After swearing softly in front of my 5 year old, I wiped off the blood and put the material back, then proceeded to limp out the door to the car. I'm no longer gonna be wearing such things other than around the house or beach.

Agreed....I don't flip flop or hip hop....flip-flops other then in a public camp-ground shower could very well be the death of you...they are about as effective as shooting your pistol sideways...and def NOT zombie proof!

I like Crocs

I can out run, in speed and distance, most folks in my Crocs.

I have some flip flops that I wear when I go out. Usually they are off when I'm sitting, don't like the thong thing between my toes.

My feet got very tough in my week in Florida. I got tired of crocks and flip flops so I didn't wear anything. That long deck to the beach toughened my feet quickly.

Woah... Didn't know that about you man... At least I know all I have to do is either see if that works, or outrun you in my hikers :)

You're one to talk. I saw you at the nail salon getting a pedicure the other day. Don't even try to deny it.

As I sit here and read this im wearing flip flops. I do have a pair of zipper boots in my truck, just in case I have to hike. I have recently made it a point to not wear flip flops in public/crowds.

I'm 57 and can't run anymore. Besides, if it comes to that, I'm ditching the flip flops and running barefoot.

This^^^^^

I dont wear "flip-flops" but have worn sandals all of my life, otherwise know as Jesus shoes.

And Yes even with socks until it is too cold to do otherwise. I really dread the first day of the year that I have to put on socks because I know that the need for real shoes is just around the corner. I cant stand being cold so I have a love-hate thing going with socks.

But since I can barely walk some days anymore I doubt I could run very far even if I needed to.... But at least back when I could run I was much faster bare-footed than with any type of footwear. Growing up mostly in FL made sandals a normal thing, what flips me out is to see folks on the beach wearing boots.
