I did the grip on this G36 and the extended mags. Gives it 7+1 single stack in a comfortable and easy to carry Glock platform. I had forgotten about this G36 until the owner asked me if I would consider trading my "beater" made-from-spare parts 1911 and one of my threaded .22s for this. I said "sure!"

Very nice feel in a 29oz .45ACP with Trijicons.

Be careful on those +1's on a 36. The only Glock I have had feeding malfunctions from was a 1st Gen 36 with +1 extensions. I also had a few issues w/o them but mostly with, so watch out for that.

I bought one of the G36's when they first came out and quickly decided I liked it better than any other model Glock was making. I still feel that way, it's the overall size of a G-19/23, but slimmer, has a contoured slide and is comfortable in my hand.

As for the +1 extensions, it appears that any issue with the extension can be solved with new +10% Wolf mag springs. I'll change my own out just in case and get a few other spare parts for a 36.

Try shooting a 30 with 200gr SWC's,turns a Glock into a jamomatic.I've owned 2 30s and neither one would make it through an entire mag without a FTF.

Forgive my ignorance; what's a SWC?

I shoot lead thru Glocks on occasion. I know it is taboo but I never shoot more than a box or so and I clean thoroughly after. Never have had a problem. I don't do it much though as I have never had much luck with accuracy shooting lead in a Glock. Talking about a polymer gun that don't like SWC's, tried some in a XD 45 one time and the slide would catch the sharp edge of the bullet and turn it around backwards on the feed ramp. Never could get that one to work.

The SWC in a 45ACP is more of a plinking or bullseye round fired at lower velocity. It's kind of like a WC wad cutter round in that it cut's cleaner holes than a HB hard ball or HP hollow point round. Most 1911's had to be modified to work with them in year's past. I'm not to crazy about them but they're a bit easier on the gun and the shooter.

I have a plus one extension for my Glock 36. So far I have not had any failures with it. The mag extension eliminates the pinky pinching of the standard magazine.
