My EMP 40 is less than a month old and during the first 400 rounds has been an excellent pistol using FMJ ammo. I haven't used any HP yet. After the first trip to the range, the grips bacame loose and needed to be tightened. I expect to fire another few hundred rounds this week before using it as a carry weapon.

I've put about 1000 rounds through mine and she functioned flawlessly. I have put just about every brand of ammo htrough it except wolf and tulammo. Very accurate as well.

No experience with the .40, but my 9mm is absolutely one of my favorite pistols. Surprisingly accurate, and a dream to carry.

I have a 9 as well & I love it.

I have the .40 as well and am really fond of the little thing. Although it is heavy, my grips came a little loose at the range the first time but that was the only "problem" i had. Invest in a good holster and belt though, the kydex holster it comes with is junk.

I hadn't noticed that the SA case has a kydex holster in it. As the size and weight are almost identical to my Ultra CDP II, I'll use the same holster until I have a new one made.

It's there, but I can not draw my gun from it no matter the setting on the tension screw. I took the screw out and it still took two hands to draw the weapon.

I don't own an EMP but congratz on the nice purchase! I do own several 1911s and wanted to point out that the grip screws becoming loose after a range session is nothing but common to 1911 grips. Many people have solved their problem, or bettered it by going to the hardware store and picking up some #60 rubber o-rings and placing them under the screw head. Others have purchased small rubber tubing and sliced off pieces to do the same. It definitely helps.
