Anyone have any thoughts on the best place in Nasville or surrounding area to take my carry class. I've been through basic in the Guard and had marksmanship classes in college, so should I just go for the cheapest?

I went to this guy who lives in Hendersonville named Gary Carrier. He is very laid back and makes the class quick and enjoyable. His website is: Bullseye Enter

However, knowing what I know now I would just recommend going with the cheapest choice you can find because chances are you already know most everything the state requires this class to teach.

If you are in the Joelton area, a friend highly recommends ASP Gunshop Link

It's where I'm going as soon as the wife stops backing her SUV into other people's cars :)

I've gotta 2nd (or 3rd?) Guns & Leather in Greenbrier.

Guns and Leather. Took mine there. Only downside is it took several hours to get everyone through the range portion of the class. Could be the way it is everywhere. If your last name starts with anything on down the alphabet you will be sitting around for a couple of hours. We were told we could leave and come back but there is very little to do in Greenbriar so I sat for a couple of hours and watched everyone before me.

I was just recommending the Guns and Leather class today. It is cheap and, I believe, every weekend. That way, you don't really have to schedule your life around a class that is only offered once every 6 weeks.

p.s. Get there EARLY. When it comes time to go to the range portion of class, they take you in the order in which arrived at the class.

Guns and Leather no doubt has the best staff and are truly concerned about how knowledgeable their class is after

the training. Also, I haven't found another that beats their price. Just sign up at either guns and leather locations.

Classes are on Saturdays.

Just got through with my class at Guns & Leather. It was a breeze. Chris was a great instructor.

Guns & Leather is where I went for mine as well. Cool instructor and cool staff. I have gone back many times since to shoot. I love their indoor range with the computerized freakin' target maneuvers.
