Is incendiary and tracer ammo legal in tennessee for a civilian to own?

The way I understand it Yes and Yes....however good luck finding a public range that will let you shoot it. I have been looking at that but I think I would want to test it on a very inexpensive gun first.

It's supposedly perfectly safe in any firearm. I haven't ordered or tried any yet. But the way it works seems logical it would be safe. We'll see though I guess. Public ranges are out. This is strictly private land ammo. Or self defense? :koolaid: bet that would stand up in court well.

Its all legal to own. Tracer ammunition is a lot easier to find then incendiary. Quite a bit of tracer .308 and 5.56 out there if you look. Incendiary, along with other "exotic" ammo, to my understanding, is that its legal in the country but none is to be imported. I think its one of those situations where its about as grey as the SKS laws during the Clinton Ban. :-\

But yeah, no public range is going to let you blast that stuff.

However it is illegal to use "armor piercing" ammo in a pistol. That pretty much covers anything with a steel\tungsten core.
