I didn’t know what to do.

So I headed into the gun shop to try to find a mag for an old gun I had laying around. I didn’t have a case so I stuck it in my waistband under my shirt, so I wouldn’t upset the locals.

When I handed it to the guy behind the counter to see if he could find me a mag, some old guy with a big white beard and wild azz hair that looked like Santa on crack, seemed to get all nervous and was staring at me for a long time.

A little while later I saw him stumbling around in the parking lot checking out my car and writing down my license plate number. I think he was thinking about burglarizing some cars in a gun store parking lot. But when I came out he got in an old Ford Pinto and left.

What should I have done?

;)

Minded your own business.

Lol...gagging. Sounds like something that I would tell me wife. She is like a lip/mind reader when we are out in public.

Seriously, I am glad that you were paying attention to what was going on around you. I think that you did all that you could do in that situation.

Walk out, smile, and say "how ya doin", that's what I do to suspicious people around my car/house.

Yeah I'm thinking the same. Although I'd probably be a bit more direct and a little less pleasant.

acting as your physician I advise you to drink heavily

That's a prescription that's always worked well for me.

I'm printing this prescription out now in case of any spousal complications. No sense in waiting, may as well start inebria-therapy now.
