I have been a fan of the SOCOM MARK 23 for a number of years. The reasons are my own and I have never shot one before I bought it, I have only fondled one as much as I could!! Well 3 guns less and a few bucks and I have the most awesome .45 ACP pistol ever made. I had the HK 45 USP Tactical and shot 200 rounds through it and have to say that the recoil of this gun is unmatched. Whom ever says the Tactical is close to the MK23 is not telling you the whole truth. The gun does in fact have some items that are close to being the same however, this is a totally different gun all together.

As they say, you have to shoot one!!!

By the way, haha... no pics for you! Seriously, pics will be posted, just not right now...

They are awesome guns!!! I was involved in the T&E when Navy Special Warfare was looking into possibly changing over from the Sig 226 to the MK23 SOCOM. Got to put a lot of rounds down range!!! They are great shooters but very big!!! Especially with a suppressor.

ENJOY!!!

Congratulations. Been wanting one for 16 years, huh? Wow - you've been wanting that pistol since around the time that some teens who are getting their driver's license this year were born*. Glad you finally got one.

*Sorry - I had to throw that time comparison in there because I realized earlier this year that there are now people of legal drinking age who hadn't even been born yet when I graduated high school.

I was not in yet when they developed the gun. I was in during it's various uses though :-)

great gun. I opted for my sig p220 stainless elite, but having 12 rounds and a threaded barrel would be nice. Is it the civilian model or did you manage to pick up a govt model? (you can tell by the markings on the gun) Pics needed!

Yeah, those are sweet pistols. I worked with a guy who had one and got an H&K suppressor for it. I actually got to shoot a couple of mags through it one day. That thing was SWEEEEEEET! Congrats on the buy!

You know what they say about guys with big hands....

They shoot big guns:) Sweet Pistol, I drooled over a gun mag featuring the Mark23 until it turned to shreds, Congrats on your purchase. A former acquaintance had a H&K Tactical Model, I enjoyed shooting it 2 handed, but one handed was a lesson in humility. It's practically a sin to not have a matching suppressor;)
