Hmmm, print this out and have a copy or two handy in the truck. I bet some Cops could learn a thing or two from this.

^NOT COP BASHING!!!^ I actually like cops who do their job:)

Well they left out the fact that while police do need a search warrant, they don't have to have it with them during the search, meaning they don't have to give you a copy.

really? Seems like they would have to give it to you or present it during the search or at least reference it?

Nope. They have to obtain one. That's it. Now, if it is shown in court that a warrant was not obtained, then everything they found gets thrown it, barring a few extenuating circumstances'.

That had to be written by the same attorneys that did the vehicle stop video that said to get out and lock the doors. :usa:

Do whatever you like until you are ordered to leave or are told you are interfering. After that you are risking arrest if you are obstructing the Officers.

A warrant is rarely used on the street or on a traffic stop. A warrant is not required if there is probable cause for a search.

I know I'll never give consent to a search of my car again. Did that one time, and they brought in a dog, which I did NOT consent to. Tore the hell out of the console and rear bumper, and there wasn't a thing for them to find.

I was talking about warrants for searches of homes. Vehicle searches don't need warrants, just reasonable suspicion do the mobile nature of vehicles.
