Right, but it's reason enough to not buy their product. Not that I'd buy a italian revolver over a Blackhawk, or a Bennelli over an 870, but some would. I never owned a Ruger until Bill took a dirt nap. Never wanted a Smith until they changed hands. Same principle.

Even with this it will be hard to turn down a good beretta. And, bad as this is, I would hate to see such an old company go under forever over one moment of greed/stupidity. (I suspect this is more of a greed thing than anything else). And, contrary to the story, I am pretty sure beretta makes a military style rifle. If this does not qualify, then I do not understand: Deprecated Browser Error and if memory serves they own what used to be SAKO which makes some $5k military guns... Deprecated Browser Error

I found the link to beretta's military lineup... its a greed based decision and the original author failed to note that they make this type of gun, see above.

Its easy enough to destroy a RFID tag. But thats a pretty lame idea, nice if it gets stolen I guess but it enables too many bad things.
